Appointments

Request an appointment.

Appointments are confirmed once we have checked that we can act and that the requirements set by any lender or transaction solicitor can be met.

Before an appointment is fixed

Why we confirm first

Instant booking would be more convenient, and for independent legal advice it would also be misleading. Three things have to be true before an appointment is worth holding.

  1. 01

    We check we can act

Independent advice requires a solicitor with no connection to the other parties. That conflict check comes first, and occasionally it is the reason we cannot proceed.

  2. 02

    We check the requirements

Lenders and transaction solicitors often prescribe the form the advice must take. If their conditions exclude us, you need to know before an appointment is in your diary.

  3. 03

    We confirm the fee

Scope and fee in writing, so nothing about the cost is a surprise on the day.

Tell us what you need and when. We will come back to you with whether we can assist, the fee and the times available.

Include the country code if you are outside the UK.

A completion date, a signing deadline, or when you need an answer by.

Tell us what you have been sent, who has asked for it and what they have told you. Please do not include identity documents or anything highly sensitive at this stage.

How should we reply?

Sending an enquiry does not create a solicitor–client relationship.
